Avant-Guard
A downloadable game for Windows
Overview
Avant-Guard is a 1v1 3D online fighting game with rollback net code. In this city, people from all sorts of artistic disciplines have gathered into various districts where they prepare for The Festival, a city-wide fighting tournament. Representatives from each district compete to prove who is the greatest artist in the city and gain the respect they deserve. Players step into the shoes of Penny, an optimistic mixed-media outcast who scrapped her weapon from a junkyard.
With gameplay systems inspired by Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and traditional fighting games such as Street Fighter, Avant-Guard delivers a unique blend of rhythmic parries and expressive decision-making. Use a mix of lights, heavies, specials, dodges, and parries to defend against attacks, throw off your opponent’s rhythm, and open them up to huge damage!
Roadmap
Work is ONGOING on a second playable character who will be added by the end of July. This in addition to core system mechanics like grabs and a counter rework on the way.

Install instructions
Extract the contents of the zip file. Then run the "Sword-Game-Online" executable.
On the home screen, click "quick play." Whoever else you are playing with will need to do the same. Once you both have pressed quick play, the "Players" counter should be at 2. Once you both ready up, the game will begin. If you ready up before multiple players are in the room, you will be in the game by yourself and unable to finish.
Close and reopen the game any time you need to return to the main menu.
